NSS Activities Inauguration 2023-24

          ‎On the 31 of October 2023, P A First Grade College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), inaugurated the “NSS Activities: 2023-24” at the E-learning center, commencing at 2:30 p.m. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests and prominent figures in the field of education and social activism. Dr. Ashwini S. Shetty, Director of the Directorate of Extension & Outreach Activities and a Professor in the Department of Anatomy at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru,  as the Chief Guest. Dr. Shetty shared her valuable experience in the National Service Scheme (NSS) and encouraged students to participate in various youth leadership training camps, hiking and trekking camps, adventure camps, and national integration camps. She emphasized how NSS provides opportunities for students to engage in community service activities, boosting their confidence. Padmashree Harekala Hajabba, a renowned Indian Social Activist, was the Guest of Honour. He interacted with the students, sharing his life experiences and discussing his initiative in rural education. He highlighted the pivotal role of education in our lives. Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, the Principal of PAFGC, delivered a motivating presidential address to inspire NSS students. The NSS students showcased their talents by presenting NSS songs, and prizes were awarded to the winners of the Poster Making Competition, which was organized in honor of World Peace Day. The event also witnessed the presence of other distinguished guests, including Dr. Syed Ameen, Dean of Student Affairs and Director of the Center for Management Studies and Research (CMSR), and Mr. Mohammed Faizal, Head of the Career Planning and Outreach Department (CPOD). Ms. Vanishree Y, the Coordinator of IQAC, along with Ms. Deepthi Udyavar, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, Ms. Ithashree M. and Ms. Chaithra N.V., NSS Program Officers at PAFGC, were also present during the occasion. The program commenced with an invocation of blessings by Mr. Ahammed Irfad from IIBCA. Ms. Afradat Shahana of I FND warmly welcomed the gathering, while Ms. Rukiyath Nasriyil from II BCA extended the vote of thanks. Ms. Shafna Sherin of II BCA skillfully compered the program. The Inauguration of NSS Activities for 2023-24 was a successful and inspirational event, providing students with insights, motivation, and a sense of purpose in their involvement with the National Service Scheme.
