Orphanage Visit Report

          The NSS unit of PAFGC, in collaboration with IQAC and YRC, undertook a meaningful visit to Balasamrakshana Kendra in Kuthar, Mangalore, on the 1st of November 2023 at 2:00 p.m. During this visit, both staff and NSS volunteers organized an interactive session for the children. The children showcased their various talents, such as singing and dancing, which were highly appreciated. Our volunteers engaged the children in entertaining games and activities, and prizes were awarded to the winners. It's worth noting that the expenses incurred were partially covered by the NSS volunteers, demonstrating their commitment to this cause. A total of 54 NSS volunteers and 50 orphanage inmates gathered in one place, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. Witnessing the happiness and joy in their small world was truly overwhelming. We took the opportunity to express our gratitude to the caretakers for their exceptional care for these beautiful souls and for providing us with the chance to interact with them. The program concluded with the distribution of snacks, sweets, and gifts to the children. The presence of Ms. Noorjahan, Head of the Department of HSS, Ms. Ithashree M, Ms. Chaithra N.V, NSS Program Officers, Mr. Hamad Basheer, YRC Coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Samsheer, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management, and Mr. Mohammed Sali Asham, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management, added significance to the occasion. Saying goodbye was difficult, leaving us with a mix of positive emotions and a touch of sadness. This visit has inspired us to continue our efforts in helping those in need, particularly children. The experience was truly memorable and will undoubtedly drive us to do more for these beautiful souls in the future.
