Rules and Regulations

Attendance

Students are expected to attend all classes without fail. If, for unavoidable reasons, leave of absence is sought, it should be through the permission from competent authority.

Leave forms are available in the office and the students should duly fill it up to apply for leave. Unless in the case of emergencies, students should obtain the signatures of their parents on the leave forms. Students who wish to go home directly from the hostel have to adhere to the hostel rules.

Discipline, Conduct and Behaviour:

  1. 1. All students should reach the classroom on time and shall not leave the class without the permission of the concerned teacher.
  2. 2. All students should wear neat and proper uniform with shoes.
  3. 3. Wearing ID cards is mandatory. The students are bound to produce it on demand by the authorities.
  4. 4. The College campus is a no–smoking/ alcohol-free zone.
  5. 5. The behaviour of the students, both within and outside the college premises should conform to the general standards of high professionalism.
  6. 6. Students should not engage in ragging, and such behaviour as may deem unfit for any professional institution. Any student found using indecent words or engaged in indecent actions in a way that would question their personal integrity as a student of this College, and also cause harm to the College’s reputation would be seriously dealt with.
  7. 7. This, being an eco–friendly campus, proper disposal of plastic or other trash in the college premises should be strictly adhered to.
  8. 8. Mobiles should be used either for academic purposes or for emergency situations alone. Laptops/ Computers are to be used within the campus for academic purposes alone.
  9. 9. Students shall keep themselves informed of the instructions/ suggestions issued to them from time to time orally or through notices/ circulars and emails.
  10. 10. Students are expected to contribute towards the academic/ social/environmental initiatives that the College may undertake. Peer mentoring and knowledge sharing among students should be the priority in accordance with the college culture.
  11. 11. Participation in intercollegiate programmes, within the city or outside, is subject to permission of the Principal.
  12. 12. For outstation programmes including study tour, the students are required to submit a permission letter from their parents in the prescribed format as is updated from time to time from the College.
  13. 13. Students are prohibited from organising or attending meetings in the college, distributing notices, collecting money and exhibiting banners, flags, posters etc. without the permission of the Principal.
  14. 14. All expressions or activities which are immoral, antisocial, communal and anti-national are strictly prohibited in the College campus.
  15. 15. The Principal shall be the final authority in the interpretation of the College rules. Matters not covered by these rules are left to the discretion of the Principal and the Management, and their decision shall be final.
